2nd "Highland" Brigade - South Carolina State Guard

The 2nd "Highland" Brigade is one of four brigades of the South Carolina State Guard. The SC State Guard, along with the Air National Guard, National Guard and Emergency Management Division, make up the 4 branches of the South Carolina Military Department under the direction of the Adjutant General. Its Commander-in-Chief is the governor of the State of South Carolina.

The 2nd Brigade's area of operations consist of the follow counties in Upstate South Carolina: Abbeville, Anderson, Cherokee, Greenville, Greenwood, Laurens, McCormick, Oconee, Pickens, Spartanburg and Union.
